Hyundai, Genesis brings back those Job Loss Protection Progam!

Hyundai and Genesis announce the return of their Assurance Job Loss Protection Program. The policy will be available to new owners in the event they lose their job as more industries shut down to help stop the spread of COVID-19. The program is designed to give potential buyers peace of mind of the economic impacts of  COVID-19

Hyundai and Genesis are making the program available to all consumers who purchased or leased a vehicle on it after March 14. If the consumer finds themselves without work, the companies will make up to six months of payments in efforts to help! Hyundai’s captive bank will also defer payments for 90 days at the consumers' request. This is available program is available until April 30th

Being as though this program is a reboot it’s not the first time Hyundai has played the role of problem-solver giving its consumers one less thing to worry about  during these uncertain times. While the program has been down since 2009 Hyundai felt now better than ever was a great time to bring it back.

GOAL SETTING: 5 tips to help you set & achieve your goals more effectively

goals.jpg

If you are a goal oriented person, there may not be a better feeling the achieving a goal that you set. The next best feeling might be the moment you realize that you have a new goal you want to accomplish. The hardest thing about achieving your goals is knowing how to set them. Here are 5 tips on how to set goals.

SET GOALS THAT MOTIVATE YOU

A goal should inspire you, it should project the person you are hoping to become and be reflective of the priorities in your live. If the goals you have set don't motivate you it is likely they aren't aligned with your core. Feel free to let go of goals that don't motivate you.

ELIMINATE DISTRACTIONS

Invite a little structure into your life, by scheduling out your day by the hour. When you schedule a task focus on that particular task. Things like checking your email, surfing the web, browsing social media should have its own time. When you utilize a schedule it is clear what that time should be used for try to be strict on yourself.

CUT DOWN ON MULTI-TASKING

I get it multitasking sometimes seems like the only way to be productive. However doing more than one thing at a time can take away from doing quality work on one thing. At times it can & will drain your energy and scatter your mind. Focusing on one task at a time will allow you to focus and give maximum effort.

S.M.A.R.T GOALS.

    •    Specific. Your goals should be clearly defined, anything less will leave you lost as it they do not provide clear direction

    •    Measurable.Include precise amounts, dates, and so on in your goals so you can measure your degree of success.

    •    Attainable. If you set a goal that you have no hope of achieving, you will only demoralize yourself and erode your confidence.

    •    Relevant. Goals should be relevant to the direction you want your life and career to take.

    •    Time Bound. Deadlines are added pressure and many of us work much better under pressure. The sense of urgency increases and so does the focus so that achievement will come much faster.

WRITE YOUR GOALS DOWN

Dr. Gail Matthews a psychology professor at Dominican University in California conducted a experiment where she concluded that one is 42% more likely to achieve their goals if you write them down. Writing things down requires time and commitment it is an investment. As people we hate to lose our investment, we tend to do what we can to prevent it. By writing it down you have decided that this is a priority.

3 REASONS WHY MILLENNIALS SHOULD LEASE

Congrats you’ve made the decision to purchase a new car. Outside of color and packages, one of the hardest selections you will have to make is whether to lease or buy. Well let me make it easy for you here are some pros to leasing.

1.    SHORT COMMITMENT/ FLEXIBILITY

If you’re anything like me, your life is constantly changing. One year a coupe would work great, and the thrill of driving it would be amazing. But, then the next you need more space because you are expecting your first child. Lease terms are flexible here at Hendrick Lexus we have lease terms from 24 months to 60 months.

2.    UPDATED TECHNOLOGY

Updated technology often means more safety and/or more convenience. Leases allow us to experience the upward shift in technology more often. I bought my 2013 GS 350 in April of 2015. Two years later I’m wishing I had some of the safety features the 2017 model is equipped with. Lexus Safety System+ comes standard with 2017 GS 350. The lane departure warning and lane keep assist is enough to make me want to upgrade. If I had leased with Lexus Financial Services I could have started using my payment waivers in 6 months, at least then LFS would have covered three of my six remaining payments

3.    CASH FLOW (LESS EXPENSIVE MONTHLY INVESTMENTS)

Many of us share an entrepreneurial spirit. Keeping our cash in our pocket can help us invest in ourselves or contribute more to causes that are important to us. On average lease payments are $125 less expensive than finance purchase options.

Mercedes-Maybach GLS Confirmed

Mercedes-Maybach has confirmed their plan to release their own version of the newly redesigned Mercedes-Benz GLS in November. This happens to be just in time for a debut at either Auto Guangzhou or Los Angeles Auto Show or maybe both.

maybach 1.jpg
maybach 2.jpg

Production will resume at the Mercedes’ plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which is already manufacturing the standard GLS. The Maybach of course comes with a much higher sticker than the entry level GLS, with a starting point rumored to be around $200,000. At that price point it would be one of the most expensive automobiles built in North America. This vehicle will help launch Maybach into a segment that seems to be growing by the day.

The Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga & Rolls-Royce Cullinan have made their presence felt in the growing market for ultra luxury SUV with Aston Martin and Ferrari joining the pack soon. With the prestige associated with Maybach it makes perfect sense as to why they want to have an offering in the segment.

Judging by the spy shots floating around it looks like it will share most of the body with the standard GLS but a unique grille. I wouldn't at all be surprised if it was fitted with different trim, something a bit more refined. One could expect some of the same design language pulled from the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury Concept.

The cabin is where the Maybach will have most of influence with an emphasis on even better materials. Given the reputation of the Maybach I expect their to be a focus on the rear-seat entertainment and comfort. If the Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury Concept is any gauge, the back seats will be the preferred place to be.

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS is reportedly slated to go on sale early next year debuting in China as that will be its main market considering more than two-thirds of the Maybach S-Class delivered last year headed to the People’s Republic.

Huge Savings On Chevy Suburban through September 2019

General Motors has been offering some incredible incentives on select Suburban models this month. If you are searching for a full-size SUV, now is the most opportune time to purchase a Chevrolet Suburban. As revealed by GM Authority, GM is offering a markdown that could spare you over $9,000 on select Suburban models.

2019-Chevrolet-Tahoe-Premier-Plus-and-Suburban-Premier-Plus-special-editions.jpg

Available across the nation all through September are three Chevrolet Suburban markdown offers. GM is offering $4,366 beneath the MSRP, in addition to a $3,000 owner loyalty rebate and a $2,000 cash allowance, carrying the total accommodation to $9,366. What's more, GM is likewise offering 0 percent APR financing for 72 months for well-qualified purchasers when acquiring from GM Financial and a $2,000 client cash allowance. The last offer isn't available on the Suburban 3500HD models outfitted with the 6.0-liter Vortec V8 motor, in any case.

With the biggest markdown applied, the range-besting 2019 Suburban Premier drops from $77,505 MSRP to $68,139. Applying the accommodation to the entry-level LS brings down the cost from $52,095 to $42,729 while the LT trim drops from $57,095 to $47,729. You don't have long to capitalize on these incentives, you must take delivery by September 30 (dealers prefer the vehicle to be in stock inventory).

6 Reasons Why People Hate Car Dealerships

I once read that people would rather have a root canal than to visit the local car dealership for anything. While I don’t know if it is that bad I would say after working in a dealership for 8 years I certainly understand the frustration. Most people have no clue how to protect themselves from a bad experience.

Of course there are several dealerships out there trying to address the stereotypes of the environment flooded with untrustworthy, pushy salespeople, that will attempt to keep you at dealership all day, sometime it even requires multiple days. For instance Lexus who has started toying with he idea of a “no haggle” price with their “Lexus Plus” program. However we are still lightyears away from a this being the norm. On the other hand most people will spend hours at the dealership not sure if they are getting a good deal & leave with a mediocre experience.

Here are 6 reasons why most people hate the idea of visiting the dealership.

  • The Pushy Salesperson

After being in a traditional automotive sales role for eight (8) years, I feel this is the primary reason most people hate visiting dealerships. Often you cannot breathe on the lot without being approached by a sales person. Even if you are there for service you will be solicited. While this doesn’t happen at every dealership the most successful ones rely on a portion of their business coming from impulsive service clients every month.

  • Time

Neither the parents nor the professionals have valuable time to waste.

Neither the parents nor the professionals have valuable time to waste.

Let’s assume you aren’t buying your dream car and you aren’t a enthusiast, now that I’ve described most car buyers in America how long do you think buying a car will actually take? According to “thestreet.com" Americans spend 10hours just researching, that does not include the on-site time. Once you actually choose a vehicle and agree to the numbers it will take another 2hrs to do all the state paperwork. For our working class especially our parents that is just too much time. I can be out of dental surgery in 4 hours.

  • Rip-offs Gone Wild

Dealers will boast about certification process but buyer should confirm vehicle had been reconditioned how they claim.

Dealers will boast about certification process but buyer should confirm vehicle had been reconditioned how they claim.

If buying a used car no matter what certification its coming with we would suggest having the car inspected by a third party. This third party will be incentivized by selling you repairs, if you have this done before your negotiations at a dealership you will be more informed and can negotiate based off of material fact. Too many times consumers buy certified preowned cars that are not reconditioned to the proper specifications. Let the dealer know you mean business by requesting to see their inspection criteria, and records of inspection and service work done.

  • Restrictive warranties and felonious financing

Manufacturers service departments are almost never empty

Manufacturers service departments are almost never empty

Having a warranty that covers your car bumper-to-bumper may sound like a blessing, and most times it is, especially since the staggering number of moving components and technologies on modern automobiles have created a slew of new weak points. But be sure to read the fine print, because if that truck is covered only if you keep stock wheels and tires on the chassis and you live on a farm that often requires all-terrain tires during the rainy season, that coverage could disappear quick.

Then there is the issue with the financing department, which has its own agenda, especially since high interest rates on financing a vehicle mean big money for the lender. Don’t get tricked into thinking that the dealership is your only financing option, and do some research to find out in advance whether a bank loan or a third party lender has better rates.

  • Knowledge-less Salespeople

The heading says it all. Often car shoppers are left alone with a person who doesn’t know much about the cars they are selling, and only want your money. When it begins to appear that you know more about the vehicle in question than they do, it might be time to ask for another salesperson, or simply head over to the next car lot in search of a more competent salesperson

  • They never have what you really want

This is really because most people lack the patience and discipline to plan. Dealerships are trying to appeal to the masses and use data to do so. The reason why you see so many white silver and black cars when you walk on to a lot is because thats what the data shows as what sells.  There are certainly ways to get exactly what you want but you have to get rid of the part of yourself that needs instant gratification.
